Gangjong Doeghar 
(Dance Troupe from the land of Snow )

The association was founded in the year 1995, Oct 17, and registered under the Societies Registration Act XXVI of 1961, West Bengal, India.

It is an independent troupe made up of local Tibetan, Sherpa and Bhutia youths, who enrolled themselves voluntarily to learn the art of Tibet 's music and dance.

Most of the artists are either school or college students, they gather on every Saturday and Sunday to practice and improve their skills.

Aims & objectives

To preserve and promote Tibetan cultural dance and music traditions.

To provide young people with opportunities to develop and socialise through achievement in music and dance.

To encourage and provide training and development opportunities for young people interested in Tibetan music and dance.
